How The WABT Engine Operates
The WABT platform will allow nearly 100,000 deaf individuals across the UK to be able to communicate natively with non-Signing individuals. Speaking naturally to others is something non-deaf individuals take for granted, but for the deaf community it can be a daily struggle to be able to communicate freely with others including but not limited to;

- Hospitality workers
Using WABT will save instituations money on interpretors and also allow deaf individuals to have the confidence and freedom to navigate through life as freely as those who are not deaf. WABT will be able to translate Sign language to speech and speech to Sign Language in real-time, allowing for a seamless conversation between deaf and non-deaf individuals. Currently this is limited to BSL and English (UK) but the platform will be able to translate other Sign Languages and other spoken languages in the future as development continues.
Real-Time Hand Tracking
Voice Synthesis
Converts sign syntax into fluid, contextual spoken dialogue. WABT automatically speaks out loud in the local native language of the service center or hub.
Dynamic 3D Avatar Signing
When the non-deaf listener replies verbally, the tablet microphone captures the voice, translates it, and will render a lifelike 3D avatar signing back in native Sign Language.
